The World Affairs Council of Connecticut (WACCT) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization promoting greater understanding of global ideas and issues. WACCT sponsors panel discussions, seminars, business luncheons, and a series of internationally renowned speakers on international politics, business and culture. The Council has recently had the honor of hosting General Eric Shinseki, Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, the Honorable Alexander Haig, Reza Aslan, former President of Mexico Ernesto Zedillo and former President of Ireland Mary Robinson.
Founded in 1924, the World Affairs Council of Connecticut is a proud member of the World Affairs Councils of America - the largest nonprofit international affairs organization in the United States.
