| Today, Connecticut’s boards of education, administrators and educators continue to face the challenge of how to prepare students for roles in an interconnected global society and economy.
With a common goal of ensuring that their students succeed in a knowledge economy, the World Affairs Council, Connecticut (WACCT) and the State Department of Education are part of a 20-state collaboration, created by the Asia Society, that shares policies and best practices.
WACCT serves on The Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents International Education Committee, which has developed “Benchmarks for International Education” and on the State’s International Education Advisory Committee.
Increasingly, we are also seeing the language of the global age making its way into the accreditation process. To assist administrators and educators with their internationalization efforts, WACCT has developed a series of programs and services.
