- Legislative Outreach
The Council’s Legislative Outreach program seeks to promote a broader understanding of the importance of international education. It achieves this by meeting with legislators, participating in informational hearings, involving legislators in small meetings with Ambassadors and diplomats, and inviting legislators to the Council’s public events and programs.
- International Education Advisory Committee
The Council was a founding member of Connecticut’s International Education Advisory Committee. The Committee was established “to explore international opportunities for learning, exchange programs and the availability of curriculum materials for students, teachers, administrators and educational policy makers.”
- Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents
The Council is represented on the CAPSS International Education Committee and has contributed to the formation of its “Benchmarks for International Education.” The Benchmarks recognize districts that “provide students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding to become global citizens.” |
