Since its creation in 1924, WACCT has been engaged in a constant campaign to promote greater knowledge and understanding of international affairs among Connecticut residents. The Council offers a variety of programs designed for all levels of interest. These include highly successful business luncheons, panel discussions, seminars, and internationally renowned speakers. Additionally, WACCT sponsors and presents an annual high school Model United Nations program at the University of Hartford and organizes study tours abroad for State of Connecticut educators.
A nonprofit and nonpartisan organization, the Council seeks to bring together all who are interested in global affairs to foster greater understanding and more open dialogue.
