World Affairs Council Internships
Internships with the World Affairs Council offer an excellent opportunity gain meaningful and substantial work experience in a dynamic environment. WACCT internships are competitive and high sought after. Many of our former interns have used this experience as a springboard to great things including working for:
Pew Charitable Trusts, Travelers, The Department of the Army, and international NGO’s.
Internships available
The Council has several rotating internship positions available. These positions are on a rotating semester basis and we encourage applications at all times of the year.

Program Assistant.
Program Assistant will be responsible for aiding in all programs, program planning and delivery as well as marketing efforts. The Program Assistant will work with the staff to implement new programs. Must have knowledge and interest in global affairs, prior office experience a plus. Candidate must be organized, able to learn and adapt quickly and be able to multi-task. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Program Assistant will be expected to attend all World Affairs Councils programs during the period of the internship Candidate expected to work 15-20 hours per week.
Membership Manager
The Membership Manager will be responsible for maintaining, tracking and reporting on membership. The Membership Manager will be the main liaison in the office for members. This person will work with staff and advisory committee to help enhance the membership experience. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be organized. Knowledge of databases a plus.
Education Assistant
Education Assistant will work directly with the Project Director of Educational Programs on a variety of tasks that aid in the implementation of all of the World Affairs Council education programs. Technology Communications Manager
Technology Manager will be responsible for managing all new technology initiatives, populating web content and working with the staff to develop and enhance the use of new technologies with in the council. This person will also be responsible for development of email newsletters. Must be creative, have some graphic design knowledge and willing to work at the council office 6-8 hours per week. |
