Can fake news lead to war?
Fake news isn’t new. With all the talk about fake news in the political cycle, Ned Lamont will take a look at 100 years of fake news, from “Remember the Maine” to Gulf of Tonkin to Granada and weapons of mass destruction. Join us as we discuss the real foreign policy uses and impacts of fake news throughout our history and what this means for the U.S. today.

Featuring Ned Lamont, Chairman of Lamont Digital Systems and founder of Campus TeleVideo. He is also a Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Political Science at Central Connecticut State University. He previously taught at Yale School of Management, where he serves on the Board of Advisors, and the Harvard Institute of Politics, where he serves on the Dean’s Council. Ned was the Democratic candidate of US Senate from Connecticut in 2006.
